#DYSTURB Journal #1 Cover Page - International Magazine

In August 2017 a Paris based not-for-profit company called  #DYSTURB asked to use one of my photos for the cover page of their first b&w printed edition of a "Journal", which was to be themed on Climate change. (In a previous life I spent 5 years working on developing renewable energy projects so this is definitely a topic that resonates closely with me.)

Sure they can use my photo.. But who is #DYSTURB?? Well.. #DYSTURB is a network of photojournalists from around the world that make visual information freely accessible to a wider audience by pasting large images in city streets. Each of these photos have a message. These messages are visually captivating as well as educational.

But I'm not talking amateur photographers BUT people of a Magnum Photographers standard (i.e. the cream of the crop) who have over 100k followers on social media that have been professional photographers for a lifetime.

So again, similar to TIME publishing my works, this is kinda a big deal for me. If you're like me and never seen your photo being published over 1000's of papers at the same time then check out this short Newspaper Printing Video of it in the making. Pretty surreal
